Channa dal - Brinjalcurry Popular

1 cup Channa dal
4 - 5 medium sized Brinjals
2 small Onions
4 - 5 Green chilies
2 small Tomatoes
1/2 tsp Chilly powder
1/2 tbsp Garam masala
1/4 tbsp Ginger garlic
4 - 5 tbsp Oil
Few Coriander leaves
Water for cooking
1. Cut brinjals into small pieces and soak channa dal in some water for atleast 10mins.

2. Chop onions and cut green chillies and tomatoes and keep aside.

3. Heat oil in a kadai and put it on a medium range flame. Add the chopped onions and green chillies and fry. After some time when the onions turn light brown, add tomatoes and fry it until the liquid comes out from the tomatoes.

4. Add brinjals into the kadai and fry for sometime. Later add the channa dal to it and fry for sometime. Add chilly powder, ginger garlic, garam masala, turmeric and salt to it and fry.

5. After frying add water to it and let it be boiling until very little quantity of water stays and turn off the flame and add coriander leaves to it and mix t and mix well.

Serve hot with white rice and also with parathas or any other dishes.

I tried this receipe at home it came out to be very good .if anyone wants to try it by adding some potatoes it will be execllent.
