Ingredients:
6 medium sized tomatoes
1 1/2 tbsp chilli powdwer
1/4 spoon fenugreek seed powder(fried in oil till golden brown and grind)
1/4 spoon mustard powder
Tamarind paste
Oil
2 red chillies
Instructions:
1. Take 6 tomatoes( medium sized ) and wash and dry them so that no moisture is there.
2. Cut each tomato into 4 pieces.
3. Heat 4 tsp oil add tomato pieces , salt, turmeric and tamarind paste and cook until tomatoes become soft and tender.
4. Switch off the stove. Immediately, add chilli powder approximately 1 1/2 tea spoons. This quantity may be either be increased or reduced as per your taste. Grind it.
5. Add 1/4tsp fenugreek seed powder and 1/4 tsp mustard powder and mix well.
6. Take 1 tbsp oil in a pan and heat it. Add 1/2 spoon mustard seeds, 5 count of fenugreek seeds, 2 red chillies, 1/4 tsp chana dal, 1/4 tsp urad dal and pinch asoefoetida. Add seasioning to tomato gravy and mix well .
Precautions: Ensure that there is no water content after frying the tomato pieces.
