Fish Cutlet Popular

1 tin any fish
2 onions, finely chopped
6 green chilies, finely chopped
2 tsp coriander seeds
1 tsp garam masala
6 garlic flakes
Small piece of ginger
Salt, turmeric and chilli powder
2 egg
1 large potato boiled and mashed
1/2 cup cooked peas
Bunch of fresh coriander leaves and few curry leaves
Oil for frying
1. Grind ginger and garlic to fine paste.

2. Marinade fish with garam masala, salt and turmeric and fry the fish in some oil, till slightly brown and keep aside.

3. Fry the onions and green chillies till brown.

4. Add the ginger and garlic and fry for a while. Add the salt and garam masala and fry some more minutes. Then add coriander leaves and stir for a little while .

5. Add the onion masala, peas and the mashed potato to the fish and mix well. Shape into cutlets.

6. Heat oil in a deep frying pan.

7. Take one cutlet at a time, dip in egg, then dip in the bread crumbs. You may repeat this step for crisper cutlets.

8. Deep fry the cutlets. Drain them on paper towels.

serve hot with mint or tamarind chutney
