Pomegranate Pulihora Popular

250gms rice
1 cup pomegranate seeds
5 red chillies
3 tsps channa dal
2 tsps mustard seeds
10-15 curry leaves
10-15 coriander leaves
1/2 tsp turmeric
salt to taste
1/4 cup oil
1/2 tsp asafetida
1. Cook rice. keep it in a dish to dry for few minutes.

2. Grind the pomegranate seeds upto lightly liquid in consistency.

3. Heat oil in kadai, add all the ingredients and fry. Then add the paste of pomegranate seeds and stir well.

4. Add salt and above mixture to the rice and mix well.

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves on top. Serve hot with mint leaves chutney.
