3 to 4 potatoes
2 cup rice
4-5 small fresh coconut pieces
4 green chillies
2 onion
1 tbsp ghee
Small piece ginger
7-8 garlic
Mint and coriander leaves
2 tsp poppyseeds
2 tsp coriander seeds
2 cinnamon
2 cardamoms
2 cloves
Cashewnuts as required
Few bayleaves
1. Wash potatoes and boil them and peel the skin.
2. Grind coconut pieces, cloves, cardamoms, cinnaman, coriander seeds, ginger, garlic and poppy seeds to smooth paste.
3. Heat oil in a pan, fry potatoes and put aside.
4. In the remaining oil add green chillies, few garlic flakes and fry them.
5. Wash rice and add it the above seasoning with required water and then add grinded paste from step 2.
6. Add salt and turmeric, cover with lid and cook.
7. When rice is half cooked add potatoes, coriander leaves and mint leaves, mix well and cook until rice is well cooked.
