Ingredients:
Tamarind, lemon sized ball
1 tsp toordal
8 peppercorns
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 red chillies
2 tsp coriander seeds
2 tsp oil
Salt, turmeric as required
2 garlic flakes
Pinch Asafoetida
Curry leaves and coriander leaves
Instructions:
1. Dissolve tamarind in 3 cups of water for few minutes and then squeeze the tamarind water and remove th tamarind.
2. Grind toordal, peppercorns, cumin seeds and coriander seeds to fine powder, then add garlic flakes grind again and keep aside.
3. Heat oil in a pan and season red chillies, cumin seeds, mustard seeds. When they splutter add curry leaves and asafoetida and add tamarind water, turmeric, salt and grinded powder. Bring to a boil, add coriander leaves. Remove from fire after few seconds.(don't boil too much, it won't taste good).

Serve with rice.
