1/2 kg mutton(lamb), chopped into 1 " cubes
3 onions, chopped finely
2 tsp ginger and garlic paste
2 tomatoes, chopped
50 gm butter
4 cloves
3 cardamoms
1 " cinnamom stick
1 bay leaf
1 tsp cumin powder
Pinch of turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
2 litre water
1 bunch coriander leaves, chopped
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1. Heat oil/butter and fry cloves, cardamoms and cinamom stick. Add half the chopped onions and fry till light brown.

2. Add ginger-garlic paste and bay leaf and fry a minute, then add cumin, turmeric, chilli powder and salt and cook for 2-3 minutes.

3. Add mutton pieces and fry mixing the spices together till the mutton becomes brown.

4. Add tomato pieces, coriander leaves and remaining chopped onions and cook for 2 minutes.

5. Add the water and cook untill the meat is tender, adding more salt or water if required.

Before serving sprinkle cardamom powder and cinnamon powder on top of the soup and serve hot.
