Mutton Thakkali Masala Popular

Ingredients:
1 lb mutton
1 cup oil
2 tbsp onions paste
2 cups tomato puree
2 tsp fresh coconut paste
2 tsp poppy seeds paste
2 tsp coriander leaves
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp green chillies paste
1 tsp coriander seeds powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp ajinomoto
Salt as required
Instructions:
1. Wash mutton. To this add turmeric, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste, green chillies paste and pressure cook for 15 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a pan and fry onion paste and fry for few minutes and then add remaining ginger-garlic paste and fry. Add masala powder, food color, required salt, chilli powder and coriander seeds powder and stir well.
3. Add mutton pieces and fry the whole mixture for few minutes.
4. Now add coconut paste, tomato puree, poppy seeds paste, stir well and add water, close the lid and cook until the gravy gets thick.
5. Remove from heat and add coriander leaves and lemon juice and mix well.

Serve hot with rice or roti.
