2.5 lb chicken
6 green chillies
6 flakes garlic
Ginger small piece
5 cloves
5 cardamoms
5 cinnamon sticks
1 cup sour curd
Red chillie powder
4 onions
2 tsp coriander seeds
2 tsp poppy seeds
coriander leaves
6 tsp oil
coconut small piece(dried or fresh)
2 tsp all purpose flour

1. Cut chicken into pieces.
2. Grind cinnamonsticks, cardamoms, cloves to fine powder and put aside.
3. Grind ginger and garlic into fine paste.
4. Grind poppy seeds, coriander seeds coconut pieces and 1 onion into paste.
5. Chop remaining onions and red chillies.
6. Take red chilli powder, turmeric, ginger garlic paste and curd. Mix them and add it to chicken pieces. Put it aside for 10 minutes.
7. Heat oil in a pan and add 2 cloves, 2 cinnamon sticks, 2 cardamom, onions and green chillies.
8. When onions turn brown add marinated chicken and close the lid.
9. After 10 minutes add 1 1/2 cup water to chicken and cook. When chicken is cooked well add paste from step 4 and cook on low flame for few more minutes and then add garam masala powder from step 2 and coriander leaves. Cook for few more minutes and remove from flame.

Serve with roti and rice.
