Vermicelli Upma Popular

1 pack vermicelli
1 small onion , finely chopped
3-4 green chillies, finely chopped
1 small tomato, finely chopped
1/ cup mixed vegs
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp chana dal
1/2 tsp urad dal
Small piece of ginger, chopped finely
Few curry leaves
Salt according to taste
1. Cook the mixed vegs and keep aside.

2. Heat oil in a pan, take a tsp of oil and fry the semya till it turns golden brown in colour. Keep aside.

3. In the same pan, take some more oil, add chana dal, urad dal, mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let it splutter.

4. Add the onion pieces, green chillies and ginger and sauti well.

5. Next add the tomatoes and fry for sometime. Add salt and cook till it gets soft.

6. To this add little water and boil. Then add vermicelli and cook till tender.

7. Finally add the mixed vegs and give it a good stir.

Hot vermicelli upma is ready to serve.
