Vermicelli And Moongdal Kichidi Popular

1/4 k monngdal
1 vermicelli packet
4 cloves
4 cinnamon sticks
4 cardamoms
Small ginger piece
6 garlic flakes
4 bayleaves
4 onions
8 green chillies
Small coconut piece
Salt and turmeric as required
4 tsp oil
4 tsp ghee
Few coriander leaves, finely chopped
1. Boil water in a vessel, add moondal and cook for few minutes(moongdal shouldn't be cooked fully)
2. Chop the onions and green chillies thin and long.
3. Grate coconut piece. Grind ginger and garlic paste.
4. Heat oil and ghee in pan and add cloves, cinnamon sticks and cardamoms, When they splutter add onions, green chillies and ginger-garlic paste. Fry for few minutes and then add 2 cups water, salt, turmeric, coriander leaves, vermicelli and cooked moongdal. Cook for few more minutes.
