1 Cup Urad dal (minapappu)

1 Cup Idli ravva (soak ravva in water for 10 minutes and drain water)

1 onion finely chopped

Chopped Cilantro

Chopped tomato

Chopped green chillies

Broken cashews

1. Soak urad dal for about 5-6 hours

2. Blend soaked dal to thick paste, add salt, idli ravva soaked and leave it overnight until it ferments.
The batter should have risen and little bubbles will appear on the surface. (It must be well fermented).

3. Heat non-stick pan, add 2 tsp oil, pour ladleful of batter and spread the batter upto 3/4th inch

4. Add 1tsp oil around the batter. Sprinkle chopped onions, cashews, chopped tomato cilantro,
chillies on the batter and simmer until it is cooked. (Takes 3-5 mins to cook)

5. Turn the uthappam upside down and cook on the other side

Serve with Coconut chutney or chutney of your choice.
