Semolina And Vermicelli Idli Popular

Ingredients:
1/2 cup vermicelli
1 cup semilina(rava suji)
3/4 cup curd
1/2 tsp chana dal
1/2 tsp urad dal
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
2 onions, chooped
4 green chillies, chopped
5 cashewnuts
1/2 tsp ginger, ground
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/2 bunch coriander leaves, chopped
Juice of 1/2 lime
3 tbsp ghee or oil
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a pan and season with chanadal, urad dal and mustard seeds.

2. Add chopped onions, green chillies, cashewnuts and stir together.

3. Add vermicelli and semolina and fry for 2 minutes.

4. Add curd, salt, bicarbonate of soda, coriander leaves, lime juice and mix well. Put aside for 30 minutes.

5. Put the mixture into the idli plates and Steam the idlis.

Serve hot with coconut chutney, sambar or coconut powder.
