1/4 cup green gram, whole
1/4 cup moth beans
1/4 cup whole lentil
1/4 cup chick peas
1/4 cup split bengal gram
1/4 cup urad dal
1/4 cup black eyed beans
4 tsp white sesame seeds
And any available pulses 1/4 cup each,
Red chili powder as required
a bunch of curry leaves
Onions, chopped
oil for frying
1. Soak all the pulses separately for 5-6 hours.

2. Drain the water and coarse grind the pulses together. Use as little water as possible for grinding.

3. Add salt, chili powder, sesame seeds and curry leaves, onions in the batter.

4. Now heat some oil in a pan. Add 2-3 tsp hot oil in the batter for crispiness. Check whether the oil is hot enough to fry vadas.

5. Make small round balls of desired size and flatten them. Fry these balls till light brown and crispy on medium flame.

Serves 25 to 30 vadas.
