1 cup chana dal soaked for 5 hours
3-4 green chillies
Small piece ginger
3 garlic flakes
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
Few curry leaves, chopped
Coriander leaves, chopped
Oil to deep fry

1. Grind chana dal, green chillies, cumin seeds, salt, ginger and garlic to thick paste.
2. Add chopped coriander leaves, curry leaves to the chana dal paste.
3. Make lemon sized balls with the above mixture and press them flat and deep fry until deep brown.
Serve them hot with mint or coconut chutney.

Serves 10.
